It is generally known that the first days in a new company have a great influence on whether the new team member feels comfortable and can tap his or her full potential. Therefore, we sat down together and defined three golden rules at citema, which our managers apply to make the start as pleasant as possible for the new joiners and themselves, and to keep teamwork transparent, efficient and inspired.

In December 2020, our citema team was enriched by another nationality. Luiz moved to Munich after his master studies in computer sciences in his hometown Rio de Janeiro and started at citema as a Java developer. Since then, he has been successfully supporting our team in the development of software for radio detection. Together with Luiz we reviewed his first six months at citema.

We asked an insider, who went through this same process just a few weeks ago. Our colleague Adam studied technical physics with focus on semiconductors, actually with the dream to become a chip designer. Since the summer of 2021, Adam has been working at citema systems as a (C++) software and database developer in the field of electrical engineering and feels that he has finally found a compromise between his passion and his career.

Last year, we changed overnight, like most companies, from our usual on-site working environment in the development center to an almost 100% remote work environment. And today, in the midst of the fourth Corona wave, remote work is more relevant than ever. So how did we at citema systems deal with this change, what were the biggest challenges and opportunities – After 1.5 years of Corona, we are taking stock.

What started as an idea in 1997 is now one of the largest career fairs in Germany with thousands of visitors and over 160 well-known exhibiting companies. The HOKO® – the university career fair of the Munich University of Applied Sciences – took place again this year from November 2-4 with a completely new concept.

The annual and this year virtual HOKO® Hochschulkontaktmesse organized by the University of Applied Sciences Munich (Hochschule München) will take place from November 2-4, 2021 and citema systems will be part of it on all three days. Make your appointment for an one-on-one interview with us now!

As a true Munich company, we love to celebrate the Wiesn together! Since the Oktoberfest was cancelled again this year, we managed to bring at least a little Bavarian spirit to our team during a traditional Bavarian breakfast at the Augustiner pub in the heart of Munich.

The images of the past weeks from the flooded areas in Germany are shocking. The fates of the people and the extent of the destruction are moving us deeply.
