Being able to meet in person again at a trade fair was a highlight in itself. The highly interesting conversations in the fields of cyber security, AI and blockchain with the many talented young developers of Deggendorf Institute of Technology, have far exceeded our expectations. On 05 April 2022, citema participated in First Contact, a recruiting fair organized by the students of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT).

We are already full of anticipation, because soon we can finally meet again in person, live and in color at the career fairs. It all starts with First Contact e.V. on April 5, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Deggendorf Stadthallen. We are looking forward to meeting you there!

It is generally known that the first days in a new company have a great influence on whether the new team member feels comfortable and can tap his or her full potential. Therefore, we sat down together and defined three golden rules at citema, which our managers apply to make the start as pleasant as possible for the new joiners and themselves, and to keep teamwork transparent, efficient and inspired.

In December 2020, our citema team was enriched by another nationality. Luiz moved to Munich after his master studies in computer sciences in his hometown Rio de Janeiro and started at citema as a Java developer. Since then, he has been successfully supporting our team in the development of software for radio detection. Together with Luiz we reviewed his first six months at citema.

We asked an insider, who went through this same process just a few weeks ago. Our colleague Adam studied technical physics with focus on semiconductors, actually with the dream to become a chip designer. Since the summer of 2021, Adam has been working at citema systems as a (C++) software and database developer in the field of electrical engineering and feels that he has finally found a compromise between his passion and his career.

Last year, we changed overnight, like most companies, from our usual on-site working environment in the development center to an almost 100% remote work environment. And today, in the midst of the fourth Corona wave, remote work is more relevant than ever. So how did we at citema systems deal with this change, what were the biggest challenges and opportunities – After 1.5 years of Corona, we are taking stock.
