The Munich Security Conference 2025 made it clear – security can no longer be taken for granted. Germany’s and Europe’s defence must become capable of acting again! This requires rapid investment in the Bundeswehr as well as in innovation and cyber defence.
These core demands were also the focus of the ASP event on the eve of the security conference ‘Time for Responsibility: Rethinking European Defence’. Invited guests from the worlds of politics, business and science gathered in Munich to discuss current security policy challenges. Our CEO Rainer Keiditsch was among the guests.
With ASP National Chairman Florian Hahn (Defence Policy Spokesman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag and International Secretary of the Christian Social Union), General Christian Badia, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Transformation at NATO, Karl Nehammer, former Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria and Prof. Dr. May-Britt U. Stumbaum, Director of The SPEAR Institute, the panel discussion that evening was top-class. The opinion on the security policy situation was unanimous: Europe needs to show more defence policy strength again. Action is needed NOW!
Thank you, Mr Hahn, for giving these important topics a stage alongside MSC2025 with the CSU’s Foreign and Security Policy Working Group.
