Bavaria is an important industrial location for defense technology! The 14th Defense Technology Congress of the Foreign and Security Policy Working Group ASP Munich (CSU), which took place this year at the Airbus Helicopters site in Donauwörth, left no doubt about this. The citema group was once again a sponsor this year.

The congress, chaired by ASP State Chairman and International Secretary of the CSU Florian Hahn, Member of the German Bundestag, was of particular importance this year. In view of the extremely tense international situation, there was a great need for discussion.

Dr. Reinhard Brandl, Member of the German Bundestag, Stefan Thomé, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, Wolfgang Gammel, COO of Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH, Alexander Reinhardt, Managing Director of BDLI, Gundbert Scherf, CEO of Helsing, Thomas Gottschild, CEO of MBDA, Bertram Gorlo, Senior Advisor Starburst and Florian Hahn answered the questions of the more than 200 invited guests in several panels. A particular focus this year was on the major challenges facing the Air Force as a branch of the armed forces.

With over 3,000 members, the ASP is one of the CSU’s largest working groups. As a driving force and mouthpiece, the ASP is dedicated to all issues relating to foreign, security, European and development policy.
